This annual event will be held this year from 7th to 15th September.

With nine days of over thirty walks for all interests and abilities, I say to myself there is no excuse really. On the website you can search for walks, by entering a day, a time, distance and difficulty (which ranges from easy to strenuous):
Walks – Gower Walking Festival
So for example I entered Saturday morning, medium length and ‘some exertion’ in difficulty. The walk that is provided is number 28, on Saturday 14th September at 10:30 am on Whiteford Sands. Distance is 5.5 miles and the cost is £6.

The festival is run by a small group of volunteers and was a 2019 Swansea Bay Tourism winner. Their mission statement confirms that the festival is an annual celebration of the Gower, to encourage people from all backgrounds to enjoy a unique landscape with minimum environmental impact.
